The illuminated IL Motorsport gear knob "Sportsline Design" is milled from a plastic block as a base body. The hand-made threaded insert with chrome-plated rosette and the elaborately designed inlay with gearshift pattern harmoniously round off the design of this elegant gear knob. The metal body is milled from brass and is then elaborately chrome-plated and polished. Our Sportsline gear knob fits very well in the hand and the weight of around 470 grams means that the gears can be engaged quickly and easily. The thread has been worked into the gear knob as far as possible so that the gear knob sits very low on the shifter. In contrast to conventional accessory gear knobs, the gearshift pattern of the MX-5 is engraved on our gear knob and highlighted in black. The reverse gear is marked in red in the gearshift pattern.
The lower chrome-plated end rosette is provided with a phase in order to lock the Alcantara gearshift gaiter supplied in the upper area.
This creates a harmonious unit between the gear knob and the gear shift boot.
The highlight here is certainly the switching pattern illuminated by 2 white LEDs. A detachable plug connection on the supplied cable set enables the gear knob to be easily installed/removed if required.
