The coolant temperature sensor is designed to respond to changes in engine coolant temperature. The sensor is crucial in the control of temperature based functions performed by the ECU (eg spark and fuel timing, instrumentation, etc).
The coolant temperature sensor must be compatible with the vehicle engine management system; the Tridon coolant temperature sensor range has been carefully researched and engineered to operate within original equipment manufacturer's specifications for each specific application.
