Introducing the Maruha Motors Racing Split Header (RS Header)

The Maruha Motors Racing Split Header (RS Header) is here — a long-awaited, new-generation exhaust header developed specifically for 90-97 Mazda MX-5 Miata models.

Designed entirely by Maruha Motors based on a revised design from 2006, the RS Header represents a focused return to what matters most: smart engineering, real-world durability, and performance you can feel every time you open the throttle. Manufacturing is handled to Maruha’s specifications by Maxim Works, ensuring consistent quality and precise fitment.

At the core of the RS Header is its double slip-joint construction. This design allows the header to naturally accommodate heat expansion and engine movement, reducing stress under aggressive driving and long-term use. It’s a detail you won’t see at a glance—but one you’ll appreciate after countless heat cycles, track days, and spirited drives.

For the first time, this header is available for NA6 1.6L (1990–1993) models, in addition to NA8 1.8L (1994–1997), making this one of the most exciting Maruha exhaust releases for early Miata owners in years.

Built from high-quality stainless steel with carefully formed tubing and precision-machined flanges, the RS Header is a true upgrade over the factory exhaust manifold—designed to unlock smoother exhaust flow, sharper response, and long-term confidence.
