MX5 driveshafts aren't designed to be rebuildable. Over time, the universal joints will develop a flat spot that can eventually cause vibration problems. Some driveshaft shops claim to be able to replace these joints in stock driveshafts, with varying levels of success.
This is a brand new driveshaft with universal joints that are designed to be easily replaced even at home. Steel construction, made to the same dimensions as stock. Dynamically balanced for smooth running. Unlike other replacement driveshafts, all of these go through a QC process to make sure it's built correctly.
