MiataRoadster transmission tunnel heat shields are made from Mylar foil-backed woven Silica fabric.
The heat shield slides over the NA/NB Miata shifter shaft and sandwiches between the upper dust boot and the transmission tunnel.
It blocks heat transfer from the exhaust to the interior of the car and prolongs the lifespan of the rubber upper dust boot.
